POSability for Windows - Multi-store Quantity-on-hand lookup top

This new feature gives you the ability to check on other stores' stock levels. The levels are requested from the consolidated inventory database via the Internet. In the example below, you can request the quantity-on-hand for all stores by first selecting a SKU, right-clicking and selecting "Qty-on-hand" and then double-clicking on the SKU/sz/clr combination for which you require stock levels. Notice that additional data for quantities on order and YTD sales are available.

POSability for Windows - Reports

POSability for Windows gives you access to a variety of reports for sales transaction data.

Two Key features are Filtering and Output.

Filtering

You can select only the specific data that you want to report. For example, you can specify certain date and time ranges, or even a specific employee's transactions.

Output

When you run a report, it presents the report on-screen in a preview window. From that window, you can:

• go to a specific page
• print the report (or a range of pages in the report)
• export the report to MS-Excel, MS-Word
• save the report in a PDF (Adobe's Portable Document Format) format so that you can e-mail the report as an attachment.

Portable Data Collection - Hardware options

Many of our clients utilize portable data collection devices to capture information quickly and accurately. This information is generally used for physical inventory counts or for store-to-store transfers.

Below are some options for portable data collection hardware. The units are priced from $225 to just under $5,000, so we've included our comments of the advantages or disadvantages for each option. If you require any information on these units, please contact our staff.

	Symbol CS1504 Advantages: Price, very small (it fits on a key ring!). Disadvantages: No visual display, limited capacity, uses watch batteries.
	Symbol CS2000 Advantages: Price, uses AAA batteries. Disadvantages: No visual display, limited capacity.
	Symbol SPT1500 Advantages: Visual display, editing capability, PALM o/s, (Can be used as a Palm Pilot). Disadvantages: Not wireless; ruggedness may be an issue.
	Unitech PT815 + Laser gun Advantages: Visual display. Disadvantages: Limited editing capability, not wireless, specific use only.
	Symbol SPT1800 wireless + Palm software Advantages: Visual display, editing capability, wireless, PALM o/s Disadvantages: Price
