ReACT EKG - Data Cubes
ReACT EKG Data Cubes allow you to drill-down & restructure information in
multiple views in real-time.
One of the new, powerful features of ReACT EKG is the data cube.
In the following example, you’ll see some of the capabilities.
1. Each cube begins by selecting a
filtered range of data that you want to analyze.
You’ll notice that there is an extensive use of drop-down lists & calendars
that are displayed to make data selections easier.
2. After the filter selections are
entered, the following data cube is displayed. Note that the initial building of
the cube takes about 20 seconds in this example.
3. I can restructure the cube so my Store
summaries are displayed. This operation took about 10 seconds; the cube does not
have to be rebuilt.
4. Additional levels of detail are
available simply by clicking on the ‘+’ sign (in the Store column). The drill
down takes less than one second.
5. You can even move some of the other
available detail views to the top (in this case we’re showing the brand detail
across the top). This took about 3 seconds to accomplish.
6. <Right-click> and you can Save the
cube (for later reference/analysis), Email the cube (to someone else for their
analysis) or print a formatted report.
The ability to Save a Cube is great for viewing data when you’re off-line …
for example at a trade show or while in a hotel. You don’t even need
connectivity to the Internet to analyze your data!
